Winter at the Red Gallery

Winter is a great time to have the gallery open to the public. We have closed our Pembina House. This summer I worked on a group of painting 16"x 20" of a single experience : driving along Whyte Avenue, Edmonton on July 1st, Canada Day. There were no more people on the street than any other weekend, but the number of police amazed me. On every corner there were two or four police.
This experience reminded me of a "takedown" that I painted from a video image, "Cops on Whyte".

The person who creates my web pages has moved on so this is an alternate method of sharing the art. Hopefully you will also drop by Monday to Friday 11a.m to 5p.m Thanks Christl
